Dixie Parrish

PARRISH, Dixie Nelle of Mt. Juliet, TN, formerly of Madison, TN passed away on Wednesday, December 31, 2014; she was ninety-six. Mrs. Parrish is preceded in death by parents, Raymond and Ida Mae Pegram; her husband, Herbert Lee Parrish; daughter, Judith Annette Story-Hoehne; brothers, Elwood, A.B., Buford, John, James and Raymond Pegram. She is survived by her daughter, Lee Atwood of Mt. Juliet, TN and son, Don (Carole) Parrish of Nashville, TN; sister, Dorothy Roland of Pegram, TN; seven grandchildren, Carla Story-Divoll, Shawn (Dave) Eberly, Neal (Crystal) Parrish, Colleen (Scott) Barnes, Regina Robinson, Andy (Linda) Atwood and Chris (Sarah) Atwood and eight great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Monday, January 5, 2015 in the Chapel of Madison Funeral Home, 219 E. Old Hickory Blvd. from 2 to 7pm and also on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 from 10am until service time at 11am with Rev. Joey Jones officiating. Family members will serve as pallbearers. Mrs. Parrish attended Neely's Bend Baptist Church. Her children stated that Mother was just a wonderful loving wife, mother and grandmother. Special thanks to Mt. Juliet Health Care for all of their loving care over the past nine years and to Gentiva Hospice for their care over the last few months.
