Jackie worked and retired from Metro Schools where she served as an elementary school secretary for twenty years. From there she managed Riverside Family Fun Center where she mentored and loved many teenagers for years. It was while she worked at Riverside Family Fun Center, she developed the DUI Experience Program that she got sponsored by the DuPont Plant. Under Jackie, the Metro Police DARE Program brought hundreds of teens through the DUI Experience. It was through this program they experienced first-hand the effects of driving while impaired. After her completion of working at the Fun Center, she moved on to work at Kohls Department Store alongside one of her best friends, Vicky Rice. Jackie never met a stranger. She loved spending time with friends and family, and she was always up for a road trip. Jackie loved sports and was an avid Vanderbilt fan but Jackie’s greatest joy came from spending time with her grandsons and later her great-grandson. She seldom missed one of their games or events in their lives. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
