James Richard Turner

James “Jim or Tiger” Richard Turner, 62, of Nashville, Tennessee, passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2023, at his home. 
Jim was born in Nashville, Tennessee to James Lee Turner and Joyce Ann (Holland) Turner. He grew up with 4 brothers and 3 sisters. He attended Bodenham High School, in Pulaski, Tennessee, C/O 1979. It was here he met his high school sweetheart and love of his life, Donna Kay (Newton) Turner. 
Jim and Donna married on October 28, 1977. They started a family, complete with 2 children, Ricky, and Jennifer. Jim and his family spent 1978-1983 on the naval base, as he served in the US Navy and studied aircraft mechanics. From there Jim developed his lifelong career as an auto mechanic. Jim landed his family permanently in Nashville, Tennessee. 
In addition to Donna, Ricky, and Jennifer (Tommy) Danner, Jim is survived by his siblings Gary Roberts, Patricia Weldon, Deborah (John) Henson, Randall (Lynn) Turner, Kenneth Turner, Amanda (Chris) McEwen, and James Lee (Joy) Turner Jr., his ”G’s” (grandchildren) Alessia Powers, Kalub Levinson, TJ Danner, and Aaria Danner, 5 nephews, 10 nieces, a host of aunts, uncles, great nieces and nephews, cousins and special friend Gaye Walton. 
Jim was preceded in passing by his Grandparents Charles (Frances) Holland, and Henry (Naomi) Buchanan, father & stepmother James Lee (Jewell) Turner Sr., Mother & Stepfather Joyce Ann (David) Roberts, brother-in-law William Anthony “Rooster” Weldon, and nephew Little John Payne.
Services will be held at Madison Funeral Home, with visitation/viewing on Wednesday, February 22, 2023, from 4 pm-8 pm, and funeral services on Thursday, February 23, 2023, from 12 pm-1 pm, with burial to follow at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens.
