COLLINS, Katherine Jaye, age 69, passed away June 18, 2013. Preceded in death by husband, Herbert Lee Collins; brother, Mitch Mabrey. Survived by son, Dennis Herbert (Amy Jackson) Collins; sister, L.E. Haywood; granddogson, Link; grandchildren, Christopher Lee (Aaron Payne) Collins, Michael Burch, Chase Collins, Conner Wix, Cody Wix, Brianna Wix, Cody Fuller, Elizabeth Fuller; special friends, Doris Stockton, Brenda Collins, and everyone that had the pleasure of knowing her. Mrs. Collins was a graduate from Vol State College. She taught at Nashville Medical College as a certified medical records teacher. She taught private lessons for medical records in her home. Mrs. Collins was a nurse for many years working with Millers Clinic. She was a member of the Baptist Church. Visitation with the family will be Thursday, June 20, 2013 from 5-8 pm and Friday, June 21, 2013 from 2-6 pm in the Chapel of Madison Funeral Home with a service to follow at 6pm with Brother John Mabrey with Hillham Church of Christ officiating. Interment will be Saturday, June 22, 2013 at 11 am in Alpine, TN at Green Hill Cemetery. Grandchildren and friends to serve as pallbearers.
