Kathryn Paschall, age 89 of Franklin, Tennessee, died at her home in Franklin on Saturday, November 16, 2013. She was born in Clarksville, Tennessee on May 28, 1924 to the late Homer and Beulah Paschall and grew up in the Sango community. She is a graduate of Clarksville (Tennessee) High School. She received a B.S. degree from Austin Peay State University and a B.A. degree from Trevecca Nazarene College before earning a M.A. Degree from Vanderbilt University. She served as a university librarian for 40 years, holding positions at Bethany Nazarene College in Bethany, Oklahoma and Bethel College in Mishawaka, Indiana before retiring to Nashville in 1989. She attended Trevecca Community Church of the Nazarene. She was the definition of a genteel southern woman, living simply but elegantly--- always adorned in her signature pearls. She will be remembered by friends and family as a quiet whisper of love, gratitude and acceptance. She is survived by her brother Homer Donald (Martha) Paschall of Kankakee, Illinois, nephews David Wayne (Fran) Paschall of Vandalia, Ohio and Howard Thomas (Kimberly) Wall III of Franklin; nieces Linda Gail Paschall (Bruce) Wilson of Kankakee, Illinois and Brenda Kay Paschall (Tom) Lale of Linden, Michigan; and nine great nieces and nephews and several first cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents Homer S. Paschall and Beulah E. Dawdy Paschall, Sister Madelyn Paschall Wall and nephew Donald Paul Paschall. In lieu of flowers donations should be made to the Alumni Scholarship Fund at Trevecca Nazarene University, Office of External Relations, 333 Murfreesboro Road, Nashville, Tennessee 37210. A memorial service will take place at Noon on Saturday, November 23 at Trevecca Community Church, 335 Murfreesboro Road, Nashville, Tennessee 37210 with Dr. Dan Boone officiating. The family will receive visitors on Friday, November 22 from 5-8 p.m. at the home of Howard and Kim Wall, 1507 Starlight Lane in Franklin, and on Saturday, from 10:30-12:00 Noon at Trevecca Community Church prior to the memorial service.
