Davis, Lenna Coles Age 94 of Madison, passed away on November 14th, 2012 at Somerfield Health Center, The Heritage of Brentwood. She was born on the 14th of October, 1918 in Nashville. She is preceded in death by her husband Lyman Thomas Davis who passed away in 1984; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Gilbert Coles; and a sister Helen Coles Smith. Survived by her daughter, Judy Davis and son, Tommy (Sally) Davis; two grandchildren, Ben (Rebecca) Davis and Ellen Davis (Jimmy) West; one great-grandson, Hudson Davis. She graduated from East High School in 1936 and married Lyman Davis in 1940. Lenna was a tireless worker in the family business, W. E. Davis and Son Dairy, until it was sold in 1981. She was honored to needlepoint many of the kneeling cushions and chairs for the sanctuary at City Road Chapel Methodist, her church home since her marriage. A member of the Hayes Sunday School Class at City Road, she also loved to fish on the boat dock at Bluegrass Marina, cheer the UT Vols and travel with her husband. She will be remembered for her sweet smile, fierce loyalty and abundant generosity. She was lovingly cared for by the staff at Somerfield Health Center for many years. Visitation will be held at the home of her son, 336 Whitworth Way, Nashville, Tuesday, the 20th of November, 2012 from 5 pm until 8 in the evening. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, the 21st of November, 2012 at eleven o'clock in the morning in Spring Hill Cemetery, Reverend Mark DeVries officiating.
