GARNER, Peggy A., February 23, 2013. On December 10, 1936 a baby girl was born to Grace and John Wilcher in Cannon County on Sugar Tree Knob in the home of her favorite grandmother, Susie Mae. Over her 76 years, Peggy grew into a smart, beautiful and creative woman. She married the only man she ever loved, Ken. She and Ken had a wonderful marriage sharing the birth of their three children and raising them together. She was an amazing mother, "The Bestest", teaching them right from wrong and where home is. A shrewd business woman, she absolutely loved buying real estate. Peggy's talent and creativity seemed limitless. She was a fabulous seamstress making the most beautiful quilts, gorgeous dresses and adorable dolls. Peggy was a collector of beautiful things. An unbelievable gardener, she could make anything grow and thoroughly enjoyed digging in the dirt. She loved people and they loved her back. She will be missed by so very many especially her family: Mike (Rhonda), David (Tammy), and Susie (Mark); grandchildren, Micah, Sam, and Audrey; great-grandchild, Finn. Visitation with the family will be Friday, March 1, 2013 from 12 to 2 p.m. and 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, March 2, 2013 from 2:30 until 3 p.m. A memorial service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friends and family are all invited to share their stories at a reception and celebration of life at Peggy's home will be held at 3:30 p.m. Online tributes madisonfuneralhome.net MADISON FUNERAL HOME (615)868-9020.
