James E. Cowden

January 1, 1939 — May 8, 2019

"Jimmy" Cowden passed away unexpectedly on May 8, 2019 doing what he enjoyed most in life...talking with friends.  He was born in Nashville, TN on May 13, 1939 and he graduated from Bellevue High School in 1957. He was always interested in how things work and began at an early age building/tearing down motors and enjoyed working on motorcycles, automobiles and appliances throughout his life. He loved having fun and in his own words 'enjoyed a good life doing the things he wanted to do with his family and friends'. He never knew a stranger and enjoyed laughing and telling stories of the adventures of his life. He enjoyed fishing, dancing and country music.

Preceded in death by his wife, Roberta, his brother, 'Gene' and parents, John Smallman and Georgia Sawyer Cowden.

Survived by his daughter, Leslie and his grandchildren Renae and Spencer.
