Ada Josephine Robinson

Mrs. Ada Josephine "Jo" Robinson, age 97, of Madison, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, May 23, 2020, at The Meadows Lakeshore in Nashville, Tennessee. She was born on December 18, 1922 in Boone County, WV, to the late Joseph Sidney and Frances Woodrum Pauley. She was a kind, gentle and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She married the love of her life, Elmer Richmond Robinson Jr. on March 30, 1942, just weeks before he left for service in the USAAF during WWII. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Elmer Richmond "Robbie" Robinson, Jr. and sister Daisy Aliff. She is survived by her five children, Judy A. (David) Owens, Jennifer (Robert) Nix, James C. (Bobbye) Robinson, Sr., Janice S. Robinson (Kenneth Mitchell), and Joan (Clark) Everetts. She is also survived by grandchildren David Randolph Owens, Julie R. Robinson, James Cary (Tamara) Robinson Jr., great-grandchildren Rachel and Leah Robinson, and several nieces and nephews. She was an avid reader and loved walking, watching birds, dancing and listening to music. She enjoyed sewing and decorating her home. She, with her sweet smile was a blessing, a joy and a comfort not only to her family but to all that met her. She will be greatly missed by all.
