HARTMAN, VINNIE FANN, age 104, died peacefully January 14, 2013. Mrs. Hartman was born March 3, 1908, in Woodbury, TN to Thomas Fann and Minnie Travis Fann. She was the third child of seven siblings, all of whom have preceded her in death. After graduating from Woodbury Central High School, she attended The Teachers College in Murfreesboro and taught school in Cannon County. In 1929, she married Elton J. (Bud) Hartman and moved to Old Hickory, TN where her husband was employed with DuPont. A Member of First Baptist Church, Old Hickory, she became an active member teaching the ladies Sunday School Class for 60 plus years, and participated in the missions programs and the Outreach Center. Her husband served as a deacon until his death. Mrs. Hartman is survived by one daughter, Marion Hartman Richards (Bill) of Hermitage; three grand children, Susan Morgan (Spence) of Mt. Juliet, Richard James (Mary Ann) of Antioch, David James (Nulf), Frankfurt Germany; five great grandchildren, Jeremiah James, Spencer Morgan, Morgan James, Emily Morgan, Cole James; three great-great grandchildren, Rachael, Aiden and Rowan Morgan; special nieces, Colleen Morton, Juanita Cate; four nieces; one nephew; sister-in-law, Ms. Margie Fann of Columbia. The family will receive visitors at Madison Funeral Home Thursday 2 - 8 p.m. Graveside service at Hermitage Memorial Gardens, Friday at 11 a.m. with interment to follow.
